Scars/tattoos:  on his right shoulder there's a long white jagged scar. this was from escaping a prison he got himself caught with a electric saw blade. and branded/Tattooed on his his left shoulder was the numbers 25114,and right there on his upper chest was a quote that read 'Heart of gold,tongue of silver' and just below that there was 'some things are better left buried'. honestly there wasn't much too look at though on his back there was a faded tattoo of what looked like angel wings over that was a vine like tattoo that extended up his back and down his left leg. there was also a gash like scar on his right just below his ribs this was from an escape pod crash.

Yan is a fairly kind person though he can be serious at times,the reason he's a defect is because like many defects he does have emotions but sometimes they tend to get the best of him,if someone brings up anything from his past or he sees something/someone that reminds him of it,he will either go into a depressed state or take his anger out on something
History/Past: His past is better left buried,Yan was a normal irken besides the weird eye colour he was fine doing what he does even though his emotions sometimes got the best of him,and after one fight that almost killed him.

 he ran away hiding in secrecy and  vowing never to let his emotions get the best of him again,though that didn't stop him from having a semi-normal life,soon he was wanted for many things he didn't commit because he was framed for it he vows to find who framed him and put an end to them right now he lives in a remote city on a planet far away from the tallest,but still inhabited by elites so he has to be careful,his past is a bit sketchy he doesn't remember much all he knows is he's wanted,and that he vowed never to let his emotions tear him apart again.

as far as his past goes he doesn't remember anything beyond the fight it's like after the fight his memories from before it happened where wiped all of them except his name,age,and other important information the rest is all a blurr to him.
